Preceptor Workshop

Teaching and evaluation are a primary function of the paramedic preceptor.  California  regulations require that paramedic preceptors have at least two years of field experience.  Most County EMS agencies require that the preceptor candidate attend a workshop that addresses the adult learning and evaluation process.

The CEA Preceptor Workshop course offers interactive discussion on the following topics:

  • Precepting techniques

  • Personal learning styles

  • Giving and receiving constructive feedback

  • Successful and effective communication

  • Verbal and written evaluation
